Strong verbs in Dutch are partly regular and partly irregular. In the past tense, the vowel changes. The participle is regular: it gets the prefix 'ge-' and the suffix '-en'. Exeptions: learn about the 2 groups of strong verbs with exeptions. Verbs with prefixes like 'be-', 'ver-', and 'ont-'; and very short verbs like 'gaan' and 'staan'.
